That's not "wave kiting" - that's some lame Euro spin tipper trying to get a "wave kiting" photo to send home to his Hattie - from his WA "surfing trip".........

I 'd rather wach someone carve a 1 foot crapy onshore white water shorebreak than someone doing litle wank flick in the air (even with handle pass)
I guess we all have our own preferences

Its easy to pick a Pom or a Euro kitesurfer because there wearing a wetsuit when the water temp is like a warm bath. That ones for Australia day.

Hi peeps,

Why are you all so concerned with what others are doing? It would seem that the ego has taken control in so many riders now that you have forgotten the true meaning of the term "freedom of expression".

When ego gets control, it becomes necessary to belittle others in order to make themselves seem to stand taller in order to fit in. Sorry guys, but cool is doing it your own way and flying in the face of what is termed appropriate or "cool", that takes courage and deserves respect.

Soul surfing is becoming a lost art in the all consuming effort to be cool, to be noticed and respected by others. To be riding the "right" board, wearing the "right" attire, flying the "right" kite and riding the "right" way. Come on people, where is riding purely for the stoke If hitting the 1 foot foamy and throwing a bucket of water lights you up, then keep doing it.

The crowd has lost it's way and has sold out to the marketing dweebs whimsical fancies. Try something new ...... cut your own groove, invent your own trick, and ride differently if you want to and most importantly, don't judge others, you don't know anything about them or what they enjoy. Get REAL!

He who smiles most wins!

Wave kiting is being "pimped" by all the majors as "the way to go" as that means you will be wanting to buy the "new and improved ultimate wave riding machine". Also look how many boards they get to sell; you buy one, you break it, you buy another one, you break it... and so it continues. Not to mention the fact you would have bought free style stuff to learn on.

spot one's photo also just shows how people reckon they are wave riding when all they are doing is racing ahead of the wave. There is no real wave riding there.

So you don't find this inspiring. ????

Why dont you just go buy a boat and go wakeboarding then.

Who cares? Why do you find what someone else is doing so offensive? If they are enjoying themselves, your opinion is worthless and unnecessary.

I know you will find this hard to comprehend, but some people ride for their own pleasure and push their own limits for personal satisfaction, not to impress you and your mates

Just go ride and ponder these thoughts.

Good winds,

I am lame ....... and I love it. Flapjack is just stirring and people have bitten - he is a young man who has not learnt the difference between positive and negative attention..... or perhaps he has not learned to log himself off when he is at a mates computer and it is not flapjack at all ? Either way the young grasshopper will sort himself out one way or the other....
