To me this is one of the massive costs of kiting. I am stuck with it and know a few others.
Kiting waves does not compare to paddling in.
which heal out of alignment and now I can't surf anymore due to the lump of bone making it to painfull to paddle on my stomach (last two from kiting the last 6 yrs).
Cowboys always get bucked off the bull, eventually.
.
Weight training in the off season certainly helps, 18-30 reps, not hypertrophy training. Strengthening excercises follow this pattern, Muscles stronger, ligaments, tendons then Bone. To prevent internal injuries, overtraining is a no-no, but try and tell that to any kitesurfer that is addicted.
. In any extreme sport beginners tend to get external injuries (ie bad technique from lack of motor skill aquisition), experienced people tend to get internal injuries from too much wear and tear.
Little bugger grabbed me on the toe and would not let go ,like a pit bull latches onto it's victim and you just about got to cave their heads in for them to let go.![]()
