The rear bridle setting has 3 settings. Called A, B, C. The differences are:

AA: this setting allows for a quick turning kite. The kite tends to pivot from the centre more, and in doing this slightly stalls the power for a second as it turns. Great setting for wave riding when needing a fast turning kite. Bar pressure is also the lightest.

AB: slows the turning speed slightly but also changes the turning power. I find that the power is more constant through the turn on this setting and is slightly more bar pressure. This setting is great for freestyle / wakestyle and also great for kitelooping. This would most probably be the most popular setting and all Best kites come out of the bag set like this.

AC: Slow turning and heavier bar pressure. Good for real strong wind and beginner kiters. Not a real good option if you want a fast efficient flying kite.

I want fast turning for surf but use the AB setting. I found the loss of power during turns in the AA setting was too much of a sacrifice. I also use a 55 cm bar on my 9 and also 7 in lighter winds - helps a little bit to turn the thing quicker.

I didn't think the settings made much difference to bar pressure

I fly a pair of 08 waroos at the moment. the setting change it heaps. each has its advantages and disadvantages, but yeah, they change it heaps in my opinion. my favourite is AB though. I do tend to pretty much always use AB.

Yeah for sure, anyone that says it does'nt change the kite is on smack.

AA is great in waves
AB is awesome for freeriding/unhooked
CC is defo more bar pressure and slower kite....didnt use this much

Apparently if you take the c pig tail off and link it onto B i think, then do AB........its even better but yet to try. Anyone?
