I just replaced the worn depower line on my 2011 trust bar. Now when I pull my bar all the way in while flying my Vegas it is to open. That is the back lines are too short. I have adjusted them to maximum length allowed by knots near bar ends. The depower line is a closed loop. How do I get the kite to be perfect for unhooking with the bar up against the chicken loop (without pulling depower cord)? Thanks for any help North riders.
... I had the same thing on my Rebel. I seem to go through chicken loop ropes way sooner than most so I replace them often. What I found is the rope is longer, and I think the chicken loop rope is longer on yours, therefore makes the front lines too long. I simply shortened it by putting the knot under the depower tag (the bit you pull to depower) a little shorter until it was right.
I think that you have to pull the depower till it is not flaring when you unhook. From what I've seen, most kites need to do this. If you flare the kite the turning speed turns to sh!te! I don't unhook so I'm talking out my arse now but I think this is the case, seems logical to me!
cheers,
