ya good for kiting in waves, in a NE you can go downwind to maroochy river mouth for flat water, no crowds but plenty in the river

You are 10 minutes from Cottontree. Excellent on an outgoing tide in NE

Predominantly SE winds this next two months.

Mudjimba beach is nearby if you like waves.

Stay out of the flags please!

I was at Twin Waters a couple weeks ago and as mentioned Cotton Tree was great on a NE with an outgoing tide (Luckily the sun was also out so the GF happily sat on the beach all afternoon with minimal nagging). We drove round to Cotton Tree however I saw a couple guys did turn up from a down winder that went past the beach out from Twin Waters.

If you've got a significant other to pick you up and a NE'er then you're best walking out to the beach, launching there and heading down to the river mouth.
