has anyone else had trouble with their leading edge splitting at the centre attachment points which then allows the bladder to exit the split and pop..my mate and i have 2012 10m rally kites which have both split on both sides of both kites in exactly the same place.seems to be a weakness in the design'
Hs the stching undone or has the leading edge material "ripped" where the stiching is? Get a photo and do a warranty claim to SS online if the shop you bought it from gives you no joy.
The material has split at right angles to the length of the leading edge. In all four cases there has been two tears about a centimetre apart. No problems with the stitching.
Jeez thats a bit of a coincidence. Contact ss first but repairs are pretty straight forward. I have seen a similar thing a few years ago with a different brand but we had 4 new kites all the same explode while sitting on the beach. Turns out there were razor shells just under the surface of the sand. Funny thing was my c kites sat there longer and never had a problem.
