I still use a 2009 t3 slingshot with below the bar depower . I have found it can be hard to pull on at times . Have worked out you can change your weight for a second and let the bar all the way out and it makes it heaps easier to pull on .

yeah i never really thought about the design of it but on my 09 slingshot you really have to reach above the bar and pull the tension out of the correct center line to sheet it in a bit. It's generally a two hand manouver to do that and clip it in. I've always had to stop, sit back in the water and adjust. It never bothered me before but I'm sure it will now...

Hey Nick, its a pain in the bum isnt it...

What I tend to do these days is bear downwind and pull the depower as the same time.

Another option is launching your kite with about 2cms of depower, this allows easy adjustment. Just dont let the depower go all the way out, otherwise it gets stuck.

I don't like headind downwind in nuking winds. Only tried the bar once put the kite up and straight back down because I couldnt trim it. Maybe I'll try again in non frontal winds. Just trying to sort my gear before the season starts, and thought of getting this 20m bar ready so I can get my kiteloops sorted

Hi Mate, I just converted my Park Below the bar depower bar to an above the bar depower, If you are after converting your bar all you need is an aerocleet, and 2 Meters of 5mm Amsteel, both of which I got from AKS.
Come round later today and I'll do it for you.

Never thought I'd like a below-the-bar depower, but now I have one I greatly prefer it to above-the-bar now...

The trick I found is to sheet out with one hand - rapidly - and haul in the depower with the other. No need to bear off...
