Hey there,

Just thinking about flying my SS T3 11m with shorter lines, ie I can move them up toward the kite because there are two other knots (maybe 80-100mm of travel) I currently fly it on the bottom knots (further away from the kite) will it make any difference? will it turn faster? oh yeah its in 1:1 ratio.

Any thoughts would be great.

Cheers

Hi Horey69,

Adjusting your lines onto the knots closest to the kite will not change the turning seed of the kite at all. It is mainly there to adjust out line length differences of an inch or two if you r bar isn't straight when the kite is straight overhead at 12.

It can make a marginal difference to power by shortening the lines but may make the kite more prone to stalling in lighter winds.

Experiment! Try the different settings, one knot at a time and make sure whatever you do to one side you mirror on the other. Dont make lots of radical changes all at once, make one change and test fly, then try something else once you have gauged the effects of the first change.

Hope this helps.

Good winds,

Kitehard,

Cheers for your thoughts, I though as much with changing the line length, maybe its time to suck it up and upgrade to the Rev 11m.

Good winds
