shortening 08 rebel lines

anyone shorten their 08 rebel lines how much and where did the lines get shorten from? ... off both ends?

i want to shorten mine to about 17 or 20 meters.

are the 09 rebel bar/lines compatible to the 08 rebel kites

Hey Cwamit,

Don't shorten your lines to less than 20m, you'll depower the kite too much and it will make you need a bigger kite for lighter wind days.

Cut your standard lines at the 20m mark and have them re-sleeved with loops on one side of the cut, and knots on the other side of the cut then you can have 25's, and 20's by simply removing the extensions. Best of both worlds.

It's a bit of a pain to change them back and forth, but is much cheaper than a new bar and lines.

Not sure if the lines are different between 08 and 09. I wouldn't think so but need to have a look at an 08 bar setup.
