Very enjoyable Corey, many many thanks Mate.
Thought the quality wasn't bad at all. Try a test run on the vimeo.com site, if you haven't
already?? It maybe slightly cleaner ??? Let us know what you think.
Good one also for bringing up an interesting question ?????
love the distinct lack of **** commentry, sweet tunes and pow pow pow show that beachy whos boss, as per above, keep em coming. nice work![]()
Good content beats good video quality any day, and you had some pretty good content! (Although I did want to see you on that wave in the intro!)
I think the key to quality on youtube is encoding the video with an MPEG 4 AVC (also called H264) codec. I you don't, youtube transcodes your video to this format, losing quite a bit of quality. (Vimeo is the same). Your file is an MOV which implies apple software, but the video codec in an MOV file can still be H264 - it depends on your editing software. I've found these days on youtube if you do this right, the quality is identical to the file you upload (you can even download it again).
Most modern video editors will do this. Otherwise there is a free H264 codec called x264 (you can look it up on wikipedia). You can use it with one of the interface programs there to convert a file.
Nice work Corey, especially the footage taken from the water. Quality looks good however if it's less than the original you might upload it onto youtube in high res, say 60 MB & youtube will compress it to say 9 or 10 MB. I have a suspicion that if you compress it before youtube they will re-compress it........ &............ nobody likes toooo much pressure!
I like!
Nice to see some of the boys smashing up the local DWer strip. Its been a great summer, lots of smiles ![]()
