Might attach one of these suckers to my board!

Then go out at night to look for it when it's lost!

Stick two down the front of your wetsuit and see how long it takes to grow flashing melons...

It only works on things that arent supposed to get wet, so not really useful for your boards cause it will just activate as soon as you go out. Maybe handy if your on a boat or something but kind of pointless kiting cause everything you cary gets wet and if you had your keys in your wetsuit or pocket then its just gonna blow up in there the first tiem you have a stack.

Might be ok with some keys but not a lot of the new ones cars come with these days.

Also I would not want my camera or electronic divice back if it had been dangling in the water like that, would cost more to repair than replace

Whats the point of it. If your phone/computer/ipod/whatever goes in the drink, it will be stuffed. I guess you could get a sim card out of a phone, but that would be it. Even car keys have electric bits in them, and might not work after getting wet.

I once dropped my phone in a glass of water before going to bed and didnt notice i had and then in the morning i got it out and just got a new battery and every thing still worked.. so it would be pretty usefull if ya lucky

Fresh water might be ok then? My old phone came surfing with me () for about 10mins before i realized. Instantly took the battery out, and let it to slowly dry off. There were white corrosion looking things everywhere that night.
Maybe the saltiness screwed it, and for most people salt water is when they would need it.
