I weigh 85kg and ride an 11m REV in summer on a TT mainly in the surf - 15 to 22kts is our predominant wind range in summer but I have had it out in less. So you could probably get away with a 9m in WA for summer.

I am upgrading and just traded my 3 perfect nick SB3's to Windsurfing perth who are supplying my SB4's.

SB3 is easily best kite I have flown (obviously hoping SB4 will be better) and people will be able to get Sb3's from WSP for around the $1000 mark which is just super value if you are just getting into the sport.

i wish i could have got kites as good as these 2nd hand when i started kiting.

74kgs wave riding - look at a 6 & 8 or and 8 and 10. they are grunty kites.

Too much or too little??

The bar pressure difference btw SB2 and SB3 is marginal, maybe a tad bit lighter. On the whole the bar pressure is light...

I think people are upgrading, maybe thats why? There were a lot of them sold, probably more SB3's in the Australian market than any other kite model.
I know a lot of people are not upgrading too, they are very happy with the performance and the construction was so good that they are simply keeping them.

The SB3 is an awesome kite though and we still have 8/10/12M on closeout pricing, check the website.

We also have SB IDS in most sizes for sale now, with more stock arriving within a couple of weeks.
I still cannot make up my mind which kite I prefer though SB IDS or CB IDS, may go for a mix, smaller in the SB and larger in the CB.
