Hi All,
are the bungee elastics in most quick releases universal?
I have a Elevate quick release and need to replace the bungee elastics. can only find them on kitebud.com.au - designed for Air rush Quick release.
Called up and the guy could not say with confidence if they would fit my elevate quick release.
Anyone replace bungee elastics before in their quick release?
Thanks

I have replaced several of my Cabrinha bungees. I just used some 3mm bungee I had.
I tied a knot in one end, fitted it into the QR, got the tension right, tied a knot in the other end, trimmed the excess.
Thanks gorgo I'll try that.
Any recommendations where you can purchase 3mm bungee?
Various places online; Ropes Galore is one good online resource. Search "shock cord".
Or a chandlery that supplies dinghy equipment. Or Clarks Rubber stores.
& haberdashery stores too, though their quality may vary.
We sell 3mm shock cord on our website in 20cm lenghts here : www.kitebud.com.au/product/3mm-elastic-bungee-cord-for-bar-ends/
I am told by a kite bar designer that QR bungees are typically NOT compatible between brands. You can always order both and try, it's only $10 for those www.kitebud.com.au/product/airush-replacement-quick-release-elastic-bungee/
Can someone confirm this for me, but I think the safety attachment has a bungee incorporate inside it, but it is not just a bit of bungee cord. Bungee cord will not 'stop' at a certain point and take all of the load, it will snap after it flexes too far.
The OP talks about quick release, but then mentions bungees, so is it the safety line, or the bungees to hold your lines together when wrapped up?

The OP is talking about Quick Release bungees, not the safety line.
They look like this, for Airush bars:
