Ive just broght a seacond hand sb3 and im not sure how far to go with the pump. Ive had one bad experience with over inflation before. The manual says should be hard but not impossible to bend the tips this is pretty well rock hard does that sound right ?

Mate, just flick the leading edge with your finger.......if it goes "ping" its alright, if it goes "thud" or "bong" it needs s bit extra.

Yep - a nice "tinny" sound is right. Or you can get yourself a pressure gauge to add onto the pump if you want to be more precise. The Jenna J pumps from Slingy all come with a gauge.

Sorry but Knezy, have you had lessons EVER before!? They should cover this in your lessons, and by the sound of it, I am unsure that you've had any...

Just wanting to make sure mate [}:)]

pressure gauge won`t work on the cabrinhas because it has a one way valve .
yep the ping is good. about the same firmness as a new tennis ball.

Yeah, give the guy a break about the lessons.

I had a 10m Sb2 for a year or so. I found the SB's not to require megga pressures like some of the other kites. I used to pump mine up until it felt difficult to pump and then stopped - go with the ping sound. Count how many pumps that was and then stick with it.
