At this stage there will be a chance to fly them and some other PL gear on the Sunshine Coast this weekend....all depending on conditions though..

I'll post some details when I have the kites in my hands...

I flew the 10 synergy in an estimated 13-18 knots that day. i'm a lightweight 63kg rider.

It was the first time i'd flown a self-inflating kite of any kind and my impressions of the synergy were:

auto-zenith is awesome! you can run up the beach and not worry about the kite. very cool. the weird part is, when you're riding the kite, it will slowly turn up to 12 o'clock with zero bar input, whereas my inflatos have always done the opposite - flown into the water. took me a while to figure out this problem and put a bit of direction correction into the kite while riding.

had heaps of pop. more of a "spongy" feel than an inflato, doing raileys and wakestyle tricks i reckon it would be surprisingly good - gave a nice strong spring into the pop that was sweet.

turned awesomely, almost like a C-kite. Very fast through the turns and generates HEAPS of power all the way through a kiteloop. took me by surprise a few times when downlooping on a wave, just had so much pull!

didn't have awesome bottom end - but then again they're not known for this. had a fair bit less power than my 11m sonic. would be awesome to ride the synergy 10m in 20-25 knots though, i reckon it would come alive then. I was only really feeling the basics of the kite in the winds we were experiencing.

the thing i didn't like about it were that if you rode towards it and it stalled, it would sort of fold up and you would have to be careful about getting it out of that situation. with the inflatos you can be sure that at least the kite will hold its shape and backstall in a reasonably predictable manner. the synergy needed to be kept moving. more wind would fix this.

jumping was okay - i wasn't really powered but it seemed to do alright.

really, i reckon the 10m would be a brilliant wave kite for strong wind conditions - it had heaps of depower and absorbed the gusts very well indeed. not such a flat water/jumping weapon but that's not why you'd buy one of these kites really. for what i want to do (flat water, wakestyle, boosting) i would stick to my high-depower bow kites at this stage.

a few of the guys up here have flown the 15 a few times now, they might have some input on the larger size.
