Have recently completely ruptured my pcl ( grade 3 tear ) and as there are few surgeons who can properly perform the surgery am after some recommendations. The first gp I saw sent me to a knee and shoulder surgeon who doesnt even do reconstructive surgery.
Sorry to hear about your injury.
I did an ACL a few years back and was recommended Dr Keith Holt at Perth Orthopaedic & Sports. Guys a master at what he does and knees are his specialty. Don't go to a general surgeon if you can afford it, as Keith will cost more than the standard gap fee you will pay for private health. But hey its your knee and dollars don't matter when you want a perfect job.
Make sure you do everything the physio says to do after...by the letter as this makes all the difference.
Best of luck.
I had acl recon by Keith holt as well about 8 years ago. Haven't had any problems or issues since then and can definitely recommend him.
See doc Duncan Sullivan in Glengarry - a sports physician who has watersports background and will send u to the right surgeon.
Keith Holt! he did an amazing ACL, PCL and LCL recon at once on me and its pretty damn awesome. Best guy in perth by far.
I snapped my PCL and tore MCL off the bone kiting in straps. Saw Keith Holt and he advised NO operation as the PCL op has indifferent results. My knee is about 80% (PCL does not grow back, MCL rejoins bone) of what it was (bit wobbly) but that is the best you get with the PCL op and it is a major one compared to ACL. Heaps of mtb riding is really helping develop the muscles around the knee to stabilize it.
No more foot straps![]()
