That's true. He asked Felipe if he should go to Core and Felipe (Flow Kites) encouraged him and said it would be great for Leo to do so.

Felipe is a great guy, but as a start up kite company he can't offer Leo what other major brands can. I think they both helped each other out. Leo made so good changes to the bridal which helped develop the kite too. I would call it a win win.

Are they the best until you screw them and find another brand stupid enough to sponsor you? Then there bar and lines will be the best!

Can't believe no one warned Core about how much of a liability you are to have riding a brand.

As a team rider, he probably achieves more than 99% of other team riders.

-He's got undeniable talent
-He's confident, perhaps bordering on arrogant
-He's got a following (love or hate him you know about him) and consistency
-He's outspoken.
-He's banned from comps (nkl or something?)
-He's probably not a bad bloke in person

Doesn't that sound like hundreds of popular atheletes?

No kiter with a couple of years experience would ever buy gear based on what a team rider says without trying it 1st but a good team rider gets people talking about the brand and thats exactly what he does.

Team riders do need to be approachable and willing to work with relevant retail outlets, to ultimately sell products.

Unfortunately the zebra fails horribly at this.

Guys, I don't know why you want to make him look bad. It's a public forum. We are not here for revenge. He's a great Kiter, he's exited about his new brand, Felipe from Flow is happy for him. Suck it up and let it go.

Your right.

Why shouldn't we support a guy who scams half the industry, does nothing but cause issues when he kites and rags on anyone that opposes him.

We are all wind loving, peace brothers anyway right?

Yet you're still talking about him and the brands he may or may not have had issues with and now your talking about him riding for Core kites. Who are the other Core (or Ozone, North, Naish etc) riders and what are they up to currently...

It's a bit like Red Bull banning Dimitri from competing in KOTA. It creates plenty of chatter and hype for both "sides" and eventually if he gets a spot theres more hype.

Nice sprays Leo. Just out of curiosity.

A) What are your goals?

B) Why do you require sponsorship to achieve these goals?

From the sounds of your comment, and perhaps I'm reading too much into this?

I feel as though you are putting imaginary limits on yourself, preventing/or excusing yourself from attaining your goals.

I don't believe in the sport of kite-surfing by not having a sponsorship, it will significantly hold one back.

If you said Formula One, I'd say- yeah that's a no brainier, As for kitesurifng....Nar.
