having some trouble lately with my oakley water jackets fogging up. they're about 8 months old and yes, I apply the solution supplied by oakley - have washed them regularly and take exceptional care of them but they seem to last only half an hour into the session before a hazy film forms over the lenses. Rinsing them in the water during the session doesn't seem to clear it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Might be salt build up. Try soak them in vinegar and scrub them afterwards and see if it helps.

Hey Wilfred dont put the solution in the inside of the lenses - outside only - I went through the same things putting the solution on the inside but they react with the body temp, sunscreen etc and fog up badly - I dont apply to the inside now and they work a treat!

another idea is to spit on the inside

Wilfred the other thing you might want to check is whether it is wax and oils from your eyebrows and eyelashes getting on the inner lens?

Because the glasses are done up tight and we usually have plastered sunscreen all over the face before kiting, I found that it was grease from my eyes getting on the lens and wrecking the vision.

Solution - trim your eyebrows with clippers and make sure you give your face a good wipe with a towel before putting the W-Jackets on.

Mine are still going strong, into their 3rd year.

I think the fogging is just a build up of sunscreen, i try not to put sunscreen where my sunnies go, they still seem to get a bit greasy but not too bad, I too have waterjackets.
