If you read your Rev's user manual you will see they reccomend inflating the kite to 8psi.
4-5 psi is not enough. If your a learner and are not flying the kite in its upper wind range then that will be fine.
Remember tho, these gauges are Chinese CRAP!! They are not very accurate and each gauge will vary.
With your 9m Jacky, put 8psi in on the light days and over 9 psi when its blowin 30knts. Mine needs that extra pressure in the howlin winds to help the kite hold its shape better when its fully depowered.
If you guys get a leaking valve, try this:
- Take out your valve cap (like to let the air out)
- Tie a cable tie around the neck of the air valve (the part you jam your pump nozzle into. Make sure the stopperball is out the way)
- Tighten the cable tie so that the inlet diameter is about half its normal size. (be careful that you bend the cable tie so that it is tightening circular around the valve neck and not flattening the valve neck).
- Leave for 2-7 days for the plastic to gain some memory.
- Cut the cable tie CAREFULLY so you dont damage your valve.
This should shrink the valve and make a nice tight seal. I had to do this to my old Raven because over time it stretched from forcing a pump nozzle into it.
P.S. I take no responcibility from tards cutting off their valve when trying to cut the cable tie.
