Hi Guys,
Hoping for some feedback. Have spent a couple of weeks learning to kitesurf in Maui. Have picked up a 7m, 9m & 12m North Rebels 08. Will be mainly based in Vic when I return to Oz. Is the 7m of much use or am I better off to sell it before I head home?
Thanks
FG

Go the 9 & 12 (depending upon your weight)

I have a 9 & 13 and they get me out in anything from 15 to 30 Kts in Victoria.

Depends on weight, but I'd say with a 2 kite quiver a 13 and a 9m would be about ideal. 12/9 and 14/9 would also work depending on weight.

Depends on your finances, I weigh 82 kg and I use a 12m 90% of the time, that is from 15 to 25 plus knots, which is 90% of the winds over Summer. If the wind is any stronger and you are just in your first season it is probably a good idea not to go out, as once the wind goes over 30 knots it is usually gusty and can cause inexperienced kiters problems, and experienced ones for that matter. Seabreezes in Vic are predominantly 15 to 22 knots.

If you are about 80kg you will spend 99% of the time on the 9 and 12 I reckon (as stated above). If you need the cash sell it, or just keep it for the rare mega windy days. If you are a lot lighter, like 60kg or something, the advice would be different though.

How was the learning experience in Maui? I am going there with girlfriend in Sept and she is going to be learning while we are there. Good to hear your feedback.
