What's that trick called- 1:40?

//

Wondering what the name of the trick at 1:40 is?
It isn't a front roll, nor a back roll, I do them all the time- i tried it today and it felt different.
Its a pop with a back flip (never mind the 180 upon landing)

I've been popping from toeside into a back flip, i thought that was a tantrum. Are they both?

You must be doing a toeside bankroll.

if what your doing is whats in the vid at 1:40 it is definitely a toeside to regular backroll. doesnt matter how vertical your legs get.. its still gunna be a backroll.

If It's 1.40 in the Core video, as your link doesn't work, then that definitely is not any kind of backroll, it's a tantrum.

I can't believe slingshot says that's a tantrum. Pretty sure a tantrum needs to be a backflip but maybe it's different in kiting to wake?

tantrums can only go forwards. boat or kite it's exactly the same movement. a tantrum is a backflip in the direction of travel- you leave your front hand on the handle so it's not even possible to go backwards. think about the sequence: pop, turn 90 degrees to blind, and backflip.

if it were a backwards backflip you'd have to take your front hand off the handle, face the wake as you pop, and flip against the direction of travel.
