Bought a 9m naish park (first naish kite for me) the other day hasn't been the wind to use it yet but today I got bored and decided to go set it up and have a look over it so when the wind came I knew what was what, I tether launch off my car so I set up like that was about 10-12kn at the time enough to pull the lines tightish and I noticed the steering lines were ridiculously slack no amount of knot adjustments could shorten them enough to give it even I tiny bit of pull on the bar. i did notice that the rear connection lines on the kite looked extremely long not sure what length they are meant to be, measured mine and they are 163cm? to me that's where the slack is coming from as i checked the lines were all equal length off the bar but i wouldn't have a clue im probably missing something obvious or simple as not enough wind to pull it all up properly, my other two new kites just came out of the bag n went in the sky no dramas at all so i haven't had to deal with an issue like this before any help would be appreciated cheers

Sounds like a trip back to see Kim to check it out!

On a different topic, I was talking to a bloke with a Naish park on the beach today, and apparently you don't have to pump up th struts seperatley. It's one pump valve, but you have to let the struts down with the valve on each strut. Still sounds like a pain.
Cheers

I had exactly same prob with my Park which was band new kite n bar. Couldn't figure out why I had the bar pulled right in to the Chicken Loop, and the kite doing nada.

Did the old fasten all lines to a post in the garden n sure enuff, my two centre fronts were sagging whilst outside backs were fully taut and same length.

Disconnected the centres and put my body weight against the back lines a few times and got them all pretty much equal.

No idea why they were like this though.

It's a 2012 but Its brand new.

Checked my lines and they are all equal that's what's making me think its the lines comming off the back of the kite

I figured that out to dave after I read it on a strut haha

I have seen this issue with another brand. It turned out to be a manufacturing problem. I suggest you take it back to the shop where you got it. They will sort it out most likely while you wait.
