Hey people, I have an mystic warrior waist harness its an 07 or 08.
I have a problem with it. 4 times now the spreader bar has un clipped while ridiing. Mainly when i ride toeside. Has anyone experienced this? I remember reading something about it but cant find the info

nah aden, after u do the velcro, u clip in j shaped clip. this is comming unclipped and yes i do it up TIGHT!
doogle, it look as if it already clips inwards. The mystic ingravement is show in its clipped in the position. if i spin it more of the "clip" sticks out and u can see a gap on the inside of the clip
I had the same problem when riding toe side it would unclip itself, take the clip off and turn it around so it is facing outwards.
I have had no probs since.
yeh mate the engravement is facing inwards
i remember someone saying you can squeeze the clip tighter with a pair of pliers or something also.

Mine used to do that, found that i was tightening the strap that holds the spreader down so it doesnt ride up to much, hence loosening the connection between the spreader and clip, so i was easier for it just to pop out, if u get me.
Tightened the spreader, so its really tight, and its nevr happened again
I've got the same problem you can flip the hook over and it will never happen again BUT you then have to slacken the buckle to connect and release the hook.
Take the hook off altogether and thread through the D ring with the strap only, thats what I did with mine, until I binned it as it's a Crap harness anyway "Mystic Warrior" should read "Mystic Muckup"
Buy a Dakine or something that is actually worth the bucks.
my dakine comes undone all the time, about half hour into a sesh, i gotta tighten it up or as soon as i ride toe side or twist when riding a wave, pop it goes
Comfortable harness but had this same constant nuisance problem with it whilst Toe Side on the waves so I just removed the clip and ran the web straight hrough the spreader bar "D". No more issues with it coming open but have found that after only 3 months use that the smooth material / plastic covering of the Harness is falling off. I wash my harness after every use and never leave it laying around in the sun or even dry it in the sun for that matter. Has anybody else had this problem or is it just mine?

I've had a mystic warrior for a year now, and i've never had any of the problems you guys speak of. A very comfy harness.
The only thing i'm not a fan of is the shape of the spreader hook, i've had my loop come off several times now, even with the donkey dick in. I'm still struggling to work out how it happens.
I have seen some more than a couple of years old still in good condition and happy owners also.

As others had mentioned, make sure the clip is pointing out, I had the same problem until I switched it.
Awesome product, super comfy + just starting to show signs of wear, 3 season's so far and should stretch for a 4th.

yeah gleno yours did look a bit dodgy, mine has now worn through but not bubbled up like yours. it looks like it stretched too much and the glue came off on the inside and now it ripples up like the skin on a fat chick.

thanks for reply guys, i switched it around and i was kiting for about 4 hours and it didnt un clip once. That was with alot of crashes and pulling around
