hey guys, I already know that Tannum Sands is the spot to be, but cant find lessons other than in Agnes Waters. Can anybody help?
I am waiting for my trainer kite to arrive and really want to learn it after I settle down in Gladstone. cheers
go see the surf shop on garnet road "last wave " the owner is a good bloke and will be able to help you out with lessons.
The guys down at tannum beach are a great bunch.
i dont think people kite at glady much but tannum is the place to go. For lessons i don't know any one at tannum but agnes and 1770 is a good place to learn a bit. But the guys at tannum are pretty nice i didn't get lessons and they showed me a thing or to and got me on the way. So maybe just get a begginer lesson and learn to fly the kite and from there its really self learning and watching others kite.
Thank you for the hints. I definitely want a few lessons first as it is one of the extreme sports and then I shall fight on my own :) Hope that sailing, windsurfing and snowboarding experience will help me a bit to get going
Agnieszka just come down the beach when ever its windy, a few of the boys and girls will be there to say hello to and give you some tips when flying the trainer kite.
