Thumbs Up

For those of you that havent heard some places in victoria (like horsham) are being flooded. Warrnambool has two rivers the main one being the Hopkins. We are at the end of all this water and the river has reached record heights. The good news out of this is that the mouth of the hopkins has burst big time and taken a bag load of sand out with it. Currently this sand is being dumped at logans beach which is the prefered site for the kitesurfing nationals. I had a look today and it has created some sick banks. Today we had a 5meter swell running with 20 to 25 knots of cross on shore wind. The faces on the waves were steep and sweat. Sick left right combos peeling all the way.

I also checked out the trophies today and they have come up a treat. They are hand crafted, once off, original sculters made from glass and sandstone. Two local artists created them especially for us.

If you are thinking of registering but worried about not being up to the task then suck it up princess and have a crack. We don't care what you ride and all competitors are our guests and will be treated as such. Remember down this way we reward people for having a crack.

Until next time hope you all are getting good winds and not loosing everything in fires or floods.
