Today was the 6th kitesurfwa lano to wedge down winder and was sick! Big cheers to andy, dan, matt, ray, joel and the others for another successful run. Over powered on my 6 at times with fun waves. No major issues in the 6 runs so far though a few close calls. Rider of the day goes to ray who shredded and was silky smooth on the outer reefs and bombies! Yeoow!!! Pub time

Epic day on the waves! Got a call from my brother first thing this morning, he's still buzzing from doing his first lano/wedge downwinder yesterday... And asking when is the next one haha
I'm glad to see the Andy Hansen get down time from the river.
Next weekend going to be killer, 5 hours at Cotton Tree doesn't compare to kiting with the Kitesurfwa crew.
Ray I think your next board design should be called the L2W! Just saying!
U managed 5 hrs at Cotton Tree - mate U have endurance - (not the best wind direction last few weeks - too Northerly but wind is wind) and a bit busy... I have done 3 down winders in the last week (plus CT) Y'day missed the crew went on my own and still traveling in company very popular - the bus is free if U can't arrange transport - Park at finish and catch bus to start - e.g. Yaroomba to CTree or for a bigger one Sunrise to CT - check out SE QLD Location guide - satellite view - I put the down winder details as orange arrows from start to finish for local beach sections....
Anyway if UR off hope U had a good time...
BTW how far is the lanos to wedge run (time - distance)
Cheers

Its 3.5 hours long not sure on kms. Very isolated as no roads to get anywhere apart from start and end. 4wd access most parts. Maybe another one this month hey andy!
Yeah close to 32 I think. The lads who used a GPS clocked over 54kms.
Really depending on home much time you tack.
You should be doing more wave riding Andy, cranking into those faces looking good
Cheers Ray, first time using a decent Wave specifc kite, made all the difference!! Lookingforward to the next one, keen in some big swell
Andy, you need to get some Fuels.
Then you can have a wave/freestyle kite.
But I do warn you. You might find yourself wanting to sell your race gear.
Did anyone find a slingshot surfboard along the way by any chance we drove the beach from just south of wedge to lanno
