hay all im chilling in boracay and im completely hooked! problem is wind dies off next month and I need more. people are suggesting I kitesurf in srilanka for next few months.

I want a list of all the cheapest and best places to kitesurf around the world.

so does anyone know where such a spreadsheet exists or just everyone chuck in there input and we can make one up. key factors im intrested in are costs of airfare accomodation average meal average beer.

it costs about a grand to get to boracay and back and about 100 dollers a week for accomodation in high season on the kiteing beach. about 3 dollers a meal and a doller a beer. its best wind is from december to march.

obviously the more discreet/secluded the cheaper it will be im going to work the masses of kiters here for information. and ill double check there information with the internet and update here. but some info from you guys would be greatly appreciated. I dont want to go back to aus just to work in the mines then to get a house. I want to keep doing this so badly.

and please no kiteing tour info im strictly talking budget here living like the locals etc.

As long as you have your own gear, and you're willing to rough it with the cockroaches - Sri Lanka is dirt cheap.. 1kg of the biggest prawns you've seen in your entire life cost about $5AU.. Beer might be a slight issue as Kalpitya (where the good kiting is) is a muslim community.. but you shouldn't be paying more than 150rs ($1.20AUD) for a longneck of the local Lion 7%..
As for other cheap kite places.. hm.. maybe someone else can help you out.. We're set up in Langebaan in SA.. I don't know about accommodation, I think it's more australian prices (and i've never really looked further a field for a more budget option), but food is dirt cheap..
I've been to Vietnam (but not to kite) and it's really cheap to exist there and I hear the kiting is good.. same with Thailand..
Let us know what you find, maybe we'll follow you to the next big cheap thing..
