Hey Leo, someone put an ozone trainer kite and bar in my bag at the pass the other day. I'm guessing it was meant for your ozone bag that was nearby; so I left it there as it was getting dark, with hardly anyone else about. There's some good photos of you floating around. You were smashing those strapless airs. I cant get that link to work

When you consider how short a time that Leo has been kite surfing, YES it's not just impressive, its nothing short of amazing. At this rate of improvement one can only imagine where he will be in another 4 years.

Leo, you are ripping as much as anyone I've seen. Unbelievable you've only been kiting for that amount of time. I think they should find another spot for you on the KSP. Hey, my kite is in there at 1:05. I'd like to thank mum.........
p.s. who said reos cant jump, you hardly look like your even sending it.

Leo started in 2009. I could look up the month but this gives you an idea of how short a time progression has been made.

He has had some minor assistance but essentially apart from a few tips here and there, has done everything himself.

He is motivated beyond belief and Is putting a heap of energy into kiting, so good luck to him.

Leo lives in Australia has 2 kids and less hair than when he first started.

Yes, the improvement is unbelievable and no doubt there is more on the way soon.

He will need to stay healthy and free from injury, given that he spends more time in the air than on the board.

Does make a mean pizza, but that's another story. Lol

Freakish ability man, must have been a bird or a cat in a previous life!?

He had all those in Byron who could appreciate what he was doing raptured, except maybe the agro clubby on the jetski who ridiculously hassled a few of us, for no reason at all.

A few of us did a 20km downwinder down from South Golden and I hovered upwind of Leo for a fair bit of it, trying to work out what he was doing. I'd rate his spacial awareness, natural ability, pain threshold pretty highly. If he's in the air strapless he either has his board between his feet and the wind direction, or he's doing a grab.

Double back loops or 15 foot punts strapless no problemo for that cat!

hey pearl that's my kite at 1:05 - it was on the windy day after another downwinder. When you got out, Leo was on his black 8m Reo, so you'll have to thank your mum for something else. Thanks though for giving me advice on the Ozone Reos though - bloody awesome kites!

Leo is coming over to Kitestock along with me (Ozone) and Adrian from Axis.
Not sure what the deal is with the website, but I know its high on their to do list. There is more activity on the Facebook page if you are looking for info. They are still developing their surfboard range, Leo is one of their testers. The Axis New Wave is finished, but we can only get limited stock. The rest of the surfboard range is in the final stages of development, they have a couple more protos to send to Leo to test then hopefully we can get some production boards.

Hey,
not going to Kitestock but am interested in a board for strapless big airs.
Thought i'd look at axis cos Leo is definitely doing them! But can't find any info...

i heard you get a board 2" taller than you, i'm interested in what width is recommended and thickness. I'm 5'7"

i just bought a surfbaord that's 5'11 × 18 1/2 × 2 1/2 , not sure if it is ideal but it was cheap while i find an epoxy one.
