Hi I am looking at going to Thailand for a week or so of kite surfing next March. Has anyone got any good locations and shop contacts to hire the gear I would need while over there.

March = Hua Hin.

Have a look at 'Kitezone' for some gear.

Yeah Hua Hin is the place at that time. Expect cross onshore/onshore winds. The water is a little choppy but fun. The wind usually blows for most of the day (thermal) about 12-25 knots on average. I was there for 5 days. The airport lost all my kite gear and it blew for 4 days straight. On the 5th day my gear was returned and the wind stopped (I wasn't happy). My advise is pack your kites in 2 separate bags so if they lose one you will still have another.

Great place as the food is awesome, beer is cheap and after a long day kiting you can get a really good massage for dirt cheap.
