kite pump

hi while pumping up my kite i could not get the kite hard because air started comeing from the deflate hole on the handle of the pump.can it be fixed or do i need a new pump.i have taken pump apart and cleaned it and lubricated.thanks

just check it is not coming from the actual hose connection. Silver gaffer tape has kept my pump going for 4 years! Got two new ones, so should be right for another 8 years!!

hhaa when i have the pressure up a bit the air is definately comeing out the deflate hole.would be good if i could solve this prob,but i just bought another pump for 12bucks at kmart but it doesnt have the aluminium shaft the broken one has..its plastic..

Open up the pump and flip over the one way valve rubbers, sometimes works as long as the leaks come from those valves (there are others but cannot get access to).

The other option is to clean the plunger with dishwashing liquid, rinse and then spray bits with lube like silicon spray.

If you can be arsed playing around with it, if not coleman make a ripper pump for $20 at any bcf/ranger outdoors etc etc, at $20 get a season out of it...bargain!

No you cant repair it.....you now have to buy a foil(doooooonnnnaaaa)
