Hoping someone can suggest something i've overlooked.

The lines are all exactly the same length, the bar is not bent, the pigtails are in the same position, the kite sits flat on a level surface and is not stretched, nor the bladder twisted, and the bridles are equal.

But both the 8 & 10 Reo are determined to fly only to the left.
On the other (Zephyr) bar, they point straight.

So, it would seem the bar/lines are the problem, but can't figure out why.

Help!

Only thing I can think of is when hooking up the lines, check center lines are even.
Also make sure the trim is fully powered.

Is this in the new v4 reo - I have a friend who has just bought one and has exactly the same problem on a 10m

I had this problem on a kite and the only way to fix it was to extend one of the back lines. by about 3" and shorten the other one.

The issue I was told was a particular color pigment in the leading edge which led it to being warped, it was a 2014 cabrinha and I got a partial refund on an equivalent new kite as I bought the kite used, but the refund meant the kite had to be destroyed.

Try pumping up kite and laying it on a very flat surface, if the leading edge is not evenly touching or parallel to the ground then that may tell the story, if you bought the kite new then you should be eligible for a replacement or refund.

I think one of your arms is longer than the other!

Check that the knot on your flag out line isn't travelling through the stopper

2011 kites, but in new condition with little use.
Been having a nice little nap in my cupboard.
Yep, pumped up and sits level.
Lines equal length and stretch, and shiny like the rest of it.
The only anomaly is the depower line being ever-so-slightly longer than the other centre line, but a bit of bar eliminates it. As does a cm of trim. It looks like it should.
I'm gonna try swapping the lines over and, if it pulls the other direction, well, it's obvious...
If not? Well, maybe shortening one steering line might make up for whatever else it is.
If not, well if you see a reo death looping down the beach, say hello

Can you borrow another bar and lines see if the same thing happens? Could be bridals but if both your 8 and 10 are doing it then that's weird. Maybe your zephyr is the kite that's out of whack and your bar and lines are compensating making it fly straight.

hence another bar and lines on your reos would tell you a lot.

Have not had a warranty claim come through?

To the OP, check your lines lengths very thoroughly, 1-2 cm difference in the front lines will cause your kite to veer to one side. To check them, connect the 2 front lines to something solid, then hold the stainless trimmer bracket and pull tight holding the bracket at eye level. Release some tension and look for one line drooping before the other. If thats happening them you nee to try to even them up either with stretching the shorter line or with knots/pigtails in the longer one.
