Looking for kite buddies in melbourne to kiteboard with in flat waters, anywhere from Altona, St Kilda to Rye. Hopefully you had your lesson and looking for some support ( as it is not good to kite alone plus moral support etc. etc.). I can just bearly stand on my board,so I think Rye is a awesome place for Beginners!
I got a 14 m kite so 12 -18 knots is whats I am after!
May it might be a case of blind leading the blind but it is still better than kiting alone!!!
or is there a place where all I should be kiting to pick up my kiteboarding progression on weekends?
i literally posted about this 2 mins ago, im near black rock and am looking for a buddy to progress with, have had all lessons except board lesson, where ive been teaching myself down at inverloch the last couple of weeks, still struggling to get up as i don have any1 to help launch and relaunch etc etc. keep us posted. Joel
I have not been to the inverloch spot! is that place any good for beginners? and when are you planning on going there next?
I'm not really a fresh beginner anymore but kite with a mate who is just starting to get up on his board. I'm just starting to boost jumps and attempt basic tricks. Would definitely be up for a meet, greet & kite session. Only problem is i'm licenseless [}:)] so getting there can be tricky.
Up until now i've usually kited at St Kilda but am looking for other places as well. We're both using 11m kites so 15-20 knots is the go. I always found it easier learning in a nice solid wind rather than weaker flaky stuff, but safety does come first.
