Smedg, I would normaly be kenn to show you around. We have been doing some wicked down winders. But i'm in Brisbane this weekend. Hope it's windy there?? Keep in touch its would be nice to have some company, there arn't many kiters down our way.
Cheers

4wd access to 10 mile beach from shark bay, no permit required. If you can con someone with a 4wd to follow, you'll be an expert by the end of the downwinder. Careful round the very southern end and Woody head as there is alot of reef. Alternately enter from Jerusalem creek camping area (turn off about 10km south of Woodburn). This brings you out to the coast to 10 mile beach south of the Evans head bombing range. You are going to have to deal with waves at the rest of iluka beaches unless the swell is dead flat. Whiting beach Yamba another option. ![]()
Looks like a good spot & only 40 mins down the road from home. I see what u mean about the sticks. Its alot better than contending with the waves at Patches Beach, well for now that is
