i recently went out for a kite and was having a ball untill I realized id pissed in my wetsuit
.. It wasnt long untill I thought bad thoughts, picturing my burley trail of vitamin c and beer being sucked up by a massive noah on its conquest to devour me and my board
Being cool calm and collected I preceded to **** my wetsuit, belted into shore, deteched my kite completely and crawl into a fetal position within my board bag for protection.
Anyway to the point of this topic I was seeking advice on my fear of sharks.. has anyone else had this problem and have they tried hypnotism to overcome this? Please help as this has gotten so bad I cant even walk into a fishnchip shop

Yours sincerely,

Vagina

Confront you fears and go for a shark dive. You may then either look at them with admiration or never go in the water again.

Just convince yourself that you're top of the food chain.

Do you have the fear when getting into a car?
Do you have the fear when patting a dog?
Both are more likely to harm you than a shark.

I also take comfort in the assumption that it's mistaken identity when they do attack and supposedly they don't like the taste of us.

Don't go play where their food sources are available close by.

There's some new wetsuit tech available to apparently confuse their vision and not make us humans so interesting.

Go and observe them in their natural habitat, they are pretty chilled most of the time.

Lastly... sh!te happens...

I was recently kiting in FNQ in a river mouth and came unstuck, body dragging while thinking CROC was way not cool... so I know how you're feeling, I find comfort with the odds... just didn't know much about the odds with CROCs so proceeded to organically tie die my boardies.

So yeah sh!te happens...

But for me I'm more worried of sharps then sharks...

Took me ages to get over that phobia and mostly why I won't kite at st kilda...

no doubt...

don't know of any mounts that leave the camera in the water... unless it's on a stick

funnily enough went shark diving at the aquarium as a surprise birthday present from my gf...

as you can't touch the sharks feels like your just behind glass but they do come up pretty close and brush along side you everynow and then...

but yeah I can safely say my heart rate didn't change - sharks no effect... (in captivity at least...)

Sharps on the other hand... yes **** scared of those... still...
