me and a mate got one each after last time i saw them on see breeze. They are really good fun. don't expect to really be able to skate anywhere on flat, its not that practical. but they are awesome for down hill. first few minutes on it i felt like a totally tard but it flows pretty soon. I haven't actually used mine in over a year and only used it a few times but thats out of busy. lazyness. A couple of other mates kept ridding are are sick at it now, carving up on skinny little footpaths on and off the road, getting towed by cars, spinning all over the place. Makes you get better at switch real quick.

i got mine from iboards.co.nz or something like that. Anyone around tweed should get one from Les at www.concretelines.com.au/retail-store 'cause he does good deals and will look after you good. (helped me out heaps)

I was just thinking that, how can you ride on flat?!

Couldn't you just take the straps off? Or would that somewhat muddle the system up?

I wonder if this idea is the brainchild of the research and development department at the skin graft clinic looking for a way to boost profits...

yeah, more like ollie horns. Very annoying to ride on flat as the way to ride is on the center wheels which can swivel where ever, and on the wheels on one side, so you are pretty much always edging. you kinda need the 'straps' to edge hard. eg all weight on your heels and pulling up on 'straps' with your toes when edging on heel side.

Mattyjee, its not just the skin either.. When learning its possible to come off really quickly at some really unexpected angels and end up twisting and falling backwards and sideways and stuff so wear a helmet at first and maybe whatever other protective gear you got. gloves are good as you can drag your hands on purpose whilst riding if you want.

I'm selling some old motorcycle racing leathers for $50 if anyone is keen to buy one of these things... (and doesn't mind looking like a tool).

Does anyone know of any shops that retail these in Perth??
because theres a wicked deal on the main site where u can get a full setup for $190+Shipping, but if theres anything local that would be a whole load easier.
