Hi just wondering if anyone has any tips on water relaunch i have a liquid force nrg 10m and find it hard to water relaunch wondering if there is any tricks to make it easier find it hard compared to the other kites i have owned seems hard to get it to roll to the wing tip and up thanks ![]()
I'll not add any positive input, but i get really sick of seeing vids like these it's misleading and dangerous!!! Water relaunch should be shown with the launcher floating in the water

Yes well said, also you guys should not even contemplate going out in winds - way lower than your kite is rated for. Some common sense has got to prevail also.
Same said with stupid Quick release vids on the beach or shallows - lets see one gettin reset in 20+ knots in the water 'floating'
thanks for tips
I was not asking about light winds I find it hard to relaunch in water in any winds etc as different to launch compared to other kites that are not high aspect like park etc thanks
not sure on your kite but generally this design doesnt auto relaunch, with my edges i generally pull on the desired steering line and let the kite make its way around under its own time, then as she wants to leave the water dont pull too hard just tease it up, ive found in low winds this is the stage itll roll over if your too hard on the steering, also have a quick look and make sure your trims powered when relaunching in lighter winds, if out of position a swim into position will speed it up
I've got the kite shown in the video (Nitro 14m v1) and have done many water re-launches. Often the only way to get this kite to relaunch is by following the instructions in the vid - the key for this type of kite is pulling on the opposite front line at the same time as the outside or steering line. Keep pulling on both lines until the kite has rolled on its side and has started moving toward the edge of the window, then you can release the inside line and just pull on the steering line until the kite relaunches. As SaveTheWales said, pull on the depower first.

Hey thats a clever little trick too, I must give it a go ![]()

I have just come from auto relaunching kites over to edges, so will give this a go too.
Cheers

Just a little Safety note for all who have not come from 'Old school relaunching'
Make sure you dont tangle a line around the bar or your harness hook - as you will be floating right on top of them !!!! after pulling yor chicken line right in..

Yea, or a line around yourself for that matter ![]()
Once you fully depowered, also keep an eye on that extra bit rope with plastic ball on the end getting caught up in lines
Had a nervous moment last week, on a 19m, the safety rope caused a nasty knot around a center lines and a steering line while i was working the kite to get it relaunched. As it launched the tension made getting the knot undone impossible. Ended up releasing the kite
You could try keeping your feet in the straps.
Having the board located between the kite and yourself,
some traction can be applied to the lines with a little bit of rail edging.
This may also prevent your death-leash from wrapping around your control-bar.
Keep practising.

I have found this method to work very well on most high aspect kites that I have tried it on.
