Thumbs Up

hello
I am an Italian kiter coming for 3 weeks in Australia since the end of next December
I am looking for nice spots in NSW, Queensland or Victoria
Is there any place where to rent staff (i would not bring with me my equipement from Europe... too far away and expensive...)
I am also interesting in lessons (I just started to jump ;-p... my friend just start to kite...)
thanks a lot

Mauro,

I don't know of anywhere that rents kites, someone else might be able to help you.

Melbourne (Victoria) has a good summer seabreeze that is reliable, and it is easy to get to the beaches. They also have quite a few instructors set up on the central beach here (St Kilda)

I have travelled with my kites and board from Europe to Australia a couple of times and it has not cost me anything. Just pack your gear in your kitebag, check it in (should weigh about 20kg), and pack your clothes in your carry on bag. It is summer here so you don't need a lot of clothing.

3 weeks is not a lot of time so choose one place to and do all the things to do in that area, rather than trying to spread yourself around too much. You will spend too much time travelling. Italy is a lot smaller than Australia and a lot better set up with public transport.
