Latly iv been having trouble with my leash getting wrapped around my hook when I go to pass the bar, especially with back to blind. So it wraps around me like iv got the leash on the wrong side, so if I miss the bar, I get squeezed and probably ****ed up! how do I stop this?

Hey Kemp,

I prewrap my leash. i run it from the fron of my harness (pass right handed) and wrap it around my body so it is clipped on to my chicken loop on the right, when i go for a pass i am then un wrapping the leash.

Hope that helps

Wow awsome contribution! Considering I crashed my kite 98% on the tricks I was throwing today, not having a leash would mean loosing my kite!
The 2% that I didn't crash was awsome. Landed my first bj313 today!!

Struggling with mine atm as well, when i crash it usually gets wrapped around my shoulder/arm idk why but i just gotta pre-prepare and straighten my body and arms to avoid chafing

clip your leash onto the front of your harness :) also a fatter leash can help prevent it from getting stuck around your hook. try and get a leash that has from around it.

the mystic leashes are really good, but atm I'm using the LF comp leash, having foam or a soft material around the leash can help prevent chafing

have a hybrid ive complied from multiple bits of other leashes, found i was bending the hook connecting to the kite ( 92kg, falling hard) so have gone for an older massive hook. the new Naish leash has a bulk clip but i found not long enough, run an extension from the front of the harness (a pig tail seems tobe just the right length)
