howdy all . first post for ages , looking at heading to goolwa for a week , just wondering best kiting locations in the area that most people use cheers
I think the goolwa area might be a bit dodgy due to the huge outflow of water.
perhaps head toward the victor harbour end where the water might not be so bad

Maybe post on the SA thread, but the water is not that bad at the moment around Middleton, but Kent Street reserve is perfectly clear ATM.
Hi, at the moment there are restrictions on where you can kite around Goolwa and the Murray. -

Basically you can't kite at Sugars Beach (on Hindmarsh Island) or around the mouth of the river at Goolwa. It's pretty grim at the moment, apparently dead roos are getting washed out ![]()
You're OK further west towards Middleton (for waves) and Victor Harbor (Kent Reserve) for flatter water.
There's also Boggy Lake (sounds inviting, eh?
) I haven't kited it but it's meant to be super flat but can be popular with wind surfers when it's on.
