I want one but dont know which one . For puting on your board on the kite and on the car . Also for normal stuff like fun camping trips ect . There are a couple of versions and iam not sure which one to get .

I ordered the surf hd on kitehero.com you get a free linemount which are usually $40 ordered a week ago although haven't got it yet. I'm gonna buy a gath helmet as well for pov filming
I might of stuffed that up. Besides the mounting is there a difference in the actaul camera between the surf , helmet or the naked . I am pretty good with making things like different mounts and stuff .
pretty sure there the same camera but every kit has different mounts for that sport eg the the go pro hero car one has mounts for mounting it to your bumper etc the surf one has mounts for your surf board etc etc, go on the go pro web site and check em out but im sure they are the camera just different mounts.
^^thats right - same camera, surf pack comes with some additional bigger mountings. naked just comes with some basic stick-on small mountings.
Yeah camera and case is same for all versions of the HD.
Best value is probably helmet hero cause it comes with the most expensive mounts (vented helmet and head strap), naked has the least (one flat mount).
Surf is a naked plus surf expansion kit (fcs plug mount, adhesive round mound, anti vibration plastic plug thingy).
Motor sports hero (suction cup mount, 2 round and 2 flat mounts, j mount, extension etc).
The grab bag is good as it has the coverted J Mount (plus extention, 1 flat, 1 curved, one anti-vibe plug, and lanyard)
Buy your kit based on the primary use and then buy the secondary mounts, but do your math first as some combinations could save you 20-50 bucks.
Eyeofmine.com have some interesting custom mounts, but they cannot sell standard accessories out of their territory. hey have Theaps of vids showing how each mount works and what to use it for.
Yep helmet hero is the best value,you get all the stick on mounts the drop mount and the helmet strap mount,you also get the head strap mount that you can convert to a kite centre strut mount,you can add the surf mount later,if your gonna board mount get a surf mount not a suction mount cos the suction mount vibrates off the board and you loose the lot,suction mount works ok on the sup though.
