Any one used the ion air camera? it doesnt need an extra housing like the go pro and thought it might not fog up.

Any comments of people that have used one are appreciated.

I have the ion air and it's an awesome camera! It vibrates when you turn it on and off which is good and is just as good as the go pro. My 2 cents

To stop ya gopro fogging put the camera in the housing leaving open, and stick it in the fridge for a minute then close the housing in the fridge.cold air holds very little moistire
So no fogging.
Gopro all the way for me.....

I reckon they all pretty much the same in terms of footage quality etc.... I have heard good things about the contour as well, but Go Pro seem to have just about every conceivable mounting device which you may want to consider.

Can anybody recommend me a mount for the kite/strut or show me how they fixed their go pro on the kite? Thanks for that

A mate had one like this....... Be prepared to do a bit of editing as the footage will be upside down on one tack. Easily sorted though.

The iON cameras look pretty good seems they just released the air pro 3. I much prefer the shape over the go pro only thing I can see that could be bad is if you cant get replacement lenses seeing as there is no outer casing to protect it, im sure they thought of that tho.

Sony action cam, colours from another world...when they sort low light "stills", it will leave the others behind.

Needs a case though - case = fogging.

Sweet ! I am going to have to give this ago again. I used a cheap Ebay keyring camera $10 bucks thing.. did a killer session and I knew I had some great footage.. then I came in and saw a guy lose his board and went to help I then fell ditched my kite big time ! in the water key ring camera came off lost for ever! never mind I got the dudes board back to him!

Swany river hey looks a nice smooth water spot! one to add to my list of places to go when I come over next.

I got a go pro 2 and it just foggs all the time I hate it ! tried the freezer trick as I have a fridge freezer in the Camper van so it's like 10mins before I go out and it still fogged!
