the SD card on my go pro 2 (yeah I know old technology) has just started a bad habit of coming out mid session. I get the first few minutes of footage and then nothing. This is the 2nd time now and I thought id got some good boosting footage , but no only the first 3 jumps
.
The camera is board mounted in a special bracket that it slots into (not "hinged"/swivelled like the normal set up.) and it probably gets a lot of vibration.
Anyone else had a similar problem?
Any suggestions (apart from get a new one!)
Gaffer tape??
Yeah the 2s do not handle being board mounted to well. The housing cracks and the SD comes out with a good jolt. Get a 3 or mount the 2 elsewhere ( head, kite, etc)

... have you tried swapping cards ie grab a new one. Just wondering, if you've moved the card in and out of slot often, you can wear down the latching mechanics inside or maybe the card is worn a bit. Tolerances are pretty close so it only takes a small rough handling by accident to cause something to happen.
Just a thought! ![]()
While you are at it make sure your new one is a class 10 look for the number ten in a circle . I had a similar probem with mine and found it was because it was not this class 10 .
