We have half a dozen at our local ranging from mid sixties to early 20's. They are as keen as anybody. Love watching their form!
Last year at botany I hardly saw any other girls out, but this year there's always at least 2 or 3 out when I'm there. A lot are euros here temporarily, or beginners but most are up for a chat. Don't be shy!
Good to hear :) great range of age too , seems KOD can hit at any age...and no real cure , but to get out on the water lol ![]()
We are a rare bread but we do exist ![]()
I am 26 years old and have been kiting for 4 months, my girlfriend is also 26 and has been kiting for 3 seasons; we both have a serious case of KOD.
We spend our days checking the wind and or watching kitesurfing videos on youtube when we can't head out on the water. We have two close female friends who are 24 that also kitesurf and we are currently trying to recruit as many other girl friends as possible.
I used to wakeboard a tiny bit and my girlfriend loves snowboarding but kitesurfing is definitely our true love, we can't get enough. We are currently working on getting as much air/hang time as possible without eating too much S*** upon landing as well as landing back rolls etc. We have just returned from a kitesurfing trip in Thailand.
See you all out on the water.
some places there are large %ages of female riders - some place (like where I am now) - hardly any... well hardly any kiters overall too...
We definitely exist, I've been kiting for 4 years and instructing for about 3.
When I first learnt I could put money that I would the only girl on the beach pretty much every day. But last season teaching in Melbourne, I'd say about a quarter of us instructors were women.
Definitely more girls learning these days too, I can only hope the trend continues!
Just moved back to Adelaide though and we're few and far between here, it's almost a talking point seeing another woman with a kite on the beach!
Helloo! Another female kiter here. An instructor recently told me that he only had 2 girls last season but had 6 this season. It's definitely becoming more popular.

Hi ,cool, how do you become an instructer?
You'll be surprised how many girls are kitesurfing.... Trouble is you only notice when you're on the beach ![]()

^^ Posers or fake/photoshopped images.. Female kite boarders do exist but they generally have legs the size of tree trunks and moustaches...

I sure did see it...... I like sexy girl kitesurfers
I had a 2 hr surf and 3hr chat with a cool female kiter
on the weekend..turned out she a certfied instructor..and to be honest she wore pink sheer scungie type bottoms with a 2inch frilly wasteband
which left nothing to the imagination.
At the same time I do see your point.
I encourage all women to take up kiting, but remember that there are real life sexygirl kiters out there , who turnup in almost nothing and surf like one of the boys, with no qualms.
Was a great arvo @ primbee![]()
