When they first came out the guys came here to Newcastle from WA and we filmed footage up at Stockton and elsewhere .There is some footage around somewhere and I am doing about 60 km'h with a traction kite next to the car filming it(Around the turn of the century)
Sand groper got wind of this and we were rounded up and imprisoned for doing such a foolhardy thing with kites .Sorry but my buzz stunt kite just didn't cut the mustard in the power department
I got two. one pre brakes and one with the leg brake and deadmans brake.
They're great for land kiting. Better than mountain boards imo. You can lean/edge on them like a kiteboard without them turning like on a mountainboard.
Got them thru a mate who was downhill mountainbiking champ for southwest a long time ago.
Went to a team meet in city beach and they showed us vids of them down on the salt lake at rockingham with kites and a kitewing(like a handheld windsurf sail).
Then got a 6M foil. works great.
