Hi I was thinking of going to cooktown on the weekend I remember hearing of a spot you could camp and kite and prob some fishing just wondering were and how to get any advice on tides and do you need a 4wd to get to camp spot etc thanks for any advice

Archer point is good and you don't need a 4WD (unless you want to drive on the sand). You will work out the tides when you get there. Keep an eye out for the crock that patrols the seaweed reef area. Never had a problem but they are about. Have fun.
