this is quick prayer to the seabreeze karma fund in the hope that it can help me out with a patch... does anyone have any old bladder offcuts they'd be able to send me please?
the LE stitching on my 14m blew up on lake weyba last week... the guys at wake'n'surf did a great job fixing her up... i was pumping up on seven mile beach at lennox for a session yesterday and the exact same thing happened on the other side!
(maybe i'm overinflating with my new pump - it was just about 9.5 psi according to the gauge)
i'm going to repair it myself this time... the stitching's done and i've got some aquaseal - just need some patch material now - a 15x30cm piece would be perfect

Bloody hell, which kite LE takes 9.5 psi?
Sorry cant help you.. but I would if I could.
thanks - it's the thought that counts!
it's a gaastra jekyll... i was working under the guidance that it isn't possible to overinflate with a hand pump... but maybe that's not true! it's a 2011 kite so maybe the stitching was wearing out anyway
if there's no spare bladder out there, any suggestions for a suitable substitute?
Tear aid works fantastically, had the same thing happen to me. Bladder/LE blow out one side, got that fixed and then blew out the other side. Apparently it's a common thing as when you reinforce that one side that blew out the other side becomes a weak spot. Did you restitch it yourself?

One tip with tear aid, is to apply it to the bladder pumped, and not deflated. It will stick on more evenly without any gaps or wrinkles.

He's not gonna be able to pump the bladder if theres a rip with it. Just use the pump as a backing and stretch the rip over the pump while you put tear aid to get out wrinkles/air bubbles. Much easier with two people.
