hey guys i got the choice of 2 kits really best waroo or slingshot desiel 2 .. like the bar and quick releases on the slingshot but the best kite would be easier to fly i think. any thoughts?
Personal choice... go for the Waroo. Cheap, solid, forgiving, and they rip upwind. The bar and safety/QR set-up is KISS (Keep It Simply Safe).
An old hot-rodders maxim:
Parts left out don't cost anything and they don't break down.
The only thing I would add is that the T2 is easier to relaunch for begginers.
Both are easy to fly.
There is no Turbo Diesel2, the new kite that replaces the TD is called the T2, it is a very different kite to the TD
Cya and
Goodwinds

theoretically T2 is the better kite to teach on, mainly because its easy to relaunch and its built really tough + its one pump.
Go the WARROO the kite has more dirrect feel, and its has a bigger wind range, and is a very stable kite that you wont have to water relaunch much, the new 08 WARROO is also available in one pump. HAPPY DAYS MR WHITE.
I leanrt on the td 2 so simple and easy to use, specially the water relaunch. The local school runs them and the guy himself rides them as well and loves em to death..
thanks for your help guys went with the best kites.. it was a bit cheaper, i personally found it a little easier to relaunch and its simple yet effective just going to change the quick release on chicken loop .. seems once you bail out its really hard to get back together.. plus they where fun for me to fly to
thanks again for the help
I can recommend the AirRush trigger QR as a replacement for the Waroo... in fact the whole AirRush SLE bar makes a very neet option, as an alternative, to the Best bar. (It puts the depowert below the bar, which is better IMHO for areas/times when the wind is not stable, easier to reach.) It's all personal choice, but they do work very well together.
Been riding the T2 a bit more now, great kite, the very first two kite sessions i had where on C kites, frustrated the hell out of me trying to relaunch the things, was ready to never touch a kiteboard again, had a run on the T2 to see what they where talking about with relaunch and depower, first time i crashed it in the water, turned the bar and it poped straight out of the water, i would have been there for 10 minutes on a C, for someone like myself new to kiting, freakin awesome, and when i crash instead of getting teabagged with the kite still powered up, i just push the bar away from me and the kite depowers, i'm up and riding now, the kite is still impressing me with how eazy it is to fly, coming from a major windsurfing background i like the heavier bar pressure, it gives me a better felling of how much power i have to use, this in mind i am in the position to use any kite i like anytime i like, but the T2 is definately the kite i chose now.
