i just wanted to know a rough price to send a board across to tassie, or a company which does this. auspost doesnt.

I sent a 12m kite with pump, bar and lines to Tassie a couple of years ago, with Australia Post, no problem.
Cost was around $40 from memory (hazy memory).

AusPost won't take it because of the length. Try TNT. They've always taken care of me.
Bus freight, great way to move boards around the country, a fraction of the price of the actual freight companies I priced. I don't know if they go to Tassie, but don't see why not.

These guys were cheap and got a surfboard to me no worries from NSW to Vic. Not sure about Tas though.
