with the self loathing, whining topic postings lately heres a good news story.

congrads go to the dude from gero for the "lifesaving hero award" (i didn't get the full details of it at the time) that was on the ABC radio earlier this morning.

at least now when the local councilors come to look at the seabreeze postings there is one positive posting

congrats ,and congrats to the many kiters that perform these rescues around the country and the world .I think that councils need to be reminded that we aren't all dicheads who consistently ride and jump just upwind of a flagged area and that we too want these guys out of peoples faces

This is good, not to mention all of the other people who have been saved by kiters. Wasnt there 2 kids and a dad last year caught in a rip somewhere... queensland maybe, it was posted on here and made the papers...

Yes, if we can air a few more of these stories, people might like to see us hanging around the beaches a bit more. We have the power an mobility, that not many other water users have....we have a lot to offer......in return for our freedom to use the beaches.
