HI. I have an 08 naish helix. Today the rope from the chicken loop snapped just above the safety release where the rope splices from 2 strands to 1 (this is the old system with the depower straps above the bar). Any suggestions about replacing this with the later chicken loops with the depower rope beneath the bar? The kite was bought brand new just a few months ago, I hear the 09 chicken loops are better?
Cheers
Steve

Yeah just get the upgrade. I replaced mine earier in the year. It was easy to do. From memory i think it was about $145.
Oh make sure it's the 08 upgrade and not the 09 replacement part, cause i don't think that works with the 08 setup.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

If you want to update your line setups go for 2010, 09 bar had some issues in case of safety release and they've sent an update part to fix it but it still had troubles.
They have changed it this year and it looks much better.

The smart loop upgrade is only the pulley down so it wont change how the safety works on your kite no matter which year the smart loop is.
